Congratulations the HS Student of the Month for September: Ellie Wittenberg, the daughter of Barry and Courtney Wittenberg, was named the September High School Student of the Month.  She is a senior.  Her teachers nominated her because she is a strong leader, has great time management skills, is helpful to others and always has a smile on her face.  She is always ready to do her best.  She has been involved in Business Club, LYF, WYSE Club, Language Club, Pep Club, Drama Club, National Honor Society President, Leo Club Vice President, Student Council Vice President, FCA Leader, Yearbook Editor and Class President.  She also participates in volleyball, basketball, softball and dance.  Whether she is on or off the court her leadership skills are noticed and appreciated.  This year her favorite class is Yearbook.  She feels that Yearbook is more like running a business than a class.  It allows the class to work together, be organized and be creative.  In her free time she enjoys playing sports, especially pickleball.  She also enjoys tanning on the boat, shopping, hanging out with friends, making various dances and spending time with family.  In the future, she plans to attend the University of Mississippi and major in Integrated Marketing Communications or Elementary Education.  Then she plans to come back home and start a family.  Her favorite experience in school has been Homecoming week, and all of the fun activities.  She has enjoyed creating posters, floats, participating in the Stewardson parade, the Friday pep rally, and of course the game followed by court and the dance.     Now to share some fun facts. If you ever won the lottery how would you spend it?     “If I ever won the lottery I would save a good amount for the future, donate some to a scholarship to keep Edie, Karly and Sienna’s legacy alive, and probably go on a little shopping spree with the rest.” If a genie was able to grant you one wish, what would it be? “If I was granted one wish from a Genie, I would wish to make Edie, Karly and Sienna proud in whatever I do.” If you had one super power, which one would it be and why? I would have super speed so that I could spend less time getting ready and travel anywhere, whenever I wanted.
