HS SOM - Nov

Katelyn VonBehrens, the daughter of Sara and the late Gruen VonBehrens, was named the November Stewardson-Strasburg High School Student of the Month.  She is a senior.  Her teachers nominated her because she balances her academics, clubs, sports, Health Occ., showing livestock and does it all with a smile and great attitude.  She participates in basketball, softball, WSS Pom Team, FFA, Pep Club, Language Club, WYSE Club, Drama Club, Business Club and Leo Club.  Outside of school she shows sheep and pigs and she is involved in the Shelby county 4-H.  Her favorite class is Anatomy!  She is very interested in this subject.  She is always looking forward to this class and learning something new everyday.  She thinks this class will have a positive impact on her future.  She is drawn to science and the human body.  In her free time she loves spending time with friends, whether they are playing sports, shopping, or munching on their favorite foods.  In the future, Katelyn plans on getting a job in the medical field.  There are so many options, so she hasn't fully decided.  She knows that she loves helping others and making them feel good.  She is currently enrolled in Health Occupations and that class has really made her love health care!  Overall, her favorite experience in school has been getting to play sports with some of her best friends.  Getting to do one of her favorite things with some of her favorite people is something that will stick with her forever.
