HS SOM - Oct

Kendra Hayes, the daughter of Kenny and Sara Hayes, was named the October Stewardson-Strasburg High School Student of the Month.  She is a sophomore.  Her teachers nominated her because she balances her academics, officer responsibilities, and athletics.  She is always displaying leadership qualities with humility.  She does it all with a smile and great attitude.  She has persevered through some hard circumstances and is a shining light.  She participates in softball, basketball, volleyball, LEO Club, FCA, Language Club, Eco Club, LYF, WYSE Club, Student Council and Sophomore Class President.  Her favorite subject right now is chemistry.  They are learning new things that she never thought about or knew of! It is fun to learn new things even though it can be challenging and confusing at times!  In her free time she loves playing outside, spending quality time with her family, going for walks or bike rides, and reading books about love, health and wellness, or Jesus!  She doesn't know exactly what her future plans are.  She would love to travel, help those in need, eventually settle down, find a steady job that she loves, and take annual family vacations.  Her favorite experience in school has been Jr. High Basketball.  Every single day during the season they worked hard, and had fun together.  She played with her favorite people and learned countless valuable life lessons.

Now to share some fun facts.

If you ever won the lottery how would you spend it?

"I would save some for travel, invest some, and donate the rest to those in need."

If a genie was able to grant you one wish, what would it be?

"I would wish for everyone on earth to know Jesus and how much He loves each one of us!"

If you had one super power, which one would it be and why?

"If I had a super power, it would be the ability to time travel.  I then could go back in time and relive the awesome events that I've experienced throughout my life so far and soak in the special moments."
