JH Student of the Month - Mila Carroll
Mila Carroll, the daughter of Jim and Stacy Carroll, was named the September Junior High Student of the Month. She is in the seventh grade. Her teachers nominated her because of her positive attitude, strong work ethic and friendly personality. She participates in volleyball, youth group, and she also helps with younger kids during church. Her favorite subject is reading. She enjoys this class because of her teacher, and she enjoys reading her library books at the beginning of the class. In her free time she likes to hang out with her family and friends and spend time with her cats (Tigger and Fluffy) and dog (Wrigely). She also enjoys playing volleyball and traveling. In the future she hopes to make good grades and graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA. Then she would like to go to Lake Land College for 2 years and transfer to Indiana State and major in Interior Design. Mila hopes to own her own business in Effingham one day. Now to move on to some fun facts. If Mila ever won the lottery she would give twenty percent to charity and some to her family. Then, she would take her whole family on the Disney Treasure Cruise Ship. She would also pay off their house and use some of it to own her own Interior Design Company. She would also want to pay for Grace and River’s college expenses.
If a genie was able to grant her one wish, she would want to be able to travel anywhere around the world for free. If she had one super power she would want to be able to transfer herself to anywhere at any time. To wrap it up, her favorite experience in school so far has been field trips in general. Her favorite one has been the Lake Shelbyville Dam tour.
